Watson Collection consists of over 500 manuscript boxes of materials documenting the life and career of James D. Watson, co-recipient of the 1962 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA, the Director (and later President and Chancellor) of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and the first director of the National Center for Human Genome Research.
